Issue 3.0

This document identifies the terminology used to describe the concepts and general structure of a workflow management system, its major functional components and their interfaces. It also provides a list of synonyms variously used within the industry as alternative terms to the preferred WfMC terminology It may be read in conjunction with the Workflow Reference Model, which describes the architecture used by the WfMC within its standardisation programme.

Die folgende Tabelle gibt eine Konkordanz der englischen Begriffe aus dem Glossary der Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) und entsprechender Begriffe im Deutschen, die in der Praxis bzw. der Literatur auftreten. Da die Begriffsbildung nicht einheitlich bzw. eindeutig ist wurde auch - entsprechend dem Vorgehen der WfMC - eine Liste von Synonymen beigegeben.

Dieses Verzeichnis wurde zur Diskussion bei der WfMC eingereicht; es stellt also noch keine von der WfMC autorisierte Übersetzung dar.

Ce document est une traduction en français du glossaire de la WorkFlow Management Coalition. Le glossaire de la WfMC établit la définition de tous les termes utilisés dans son modèle de référence et les standards qu’elle publie. Par une définition précise, approuvée par ses membres la WfMC établit ainsi les conditions indispensables à une clarification du domaine avant même sa normalisation. Cette clarification apporte une simplification et une clarification aux utilisateurs de workflow qui peuvent ainsi identifier plus facilement les composants des offres qui leurs sont proposées.

 BPM in Practice 

Held in a half-dozen countries in the last year, this popular seminar is presentedby the leaders of the Workflow Management Coalition, delivering anunderstanding of the core issues surrounding BPM, covering both the IT benefitsand business impact of business process management and workflow automation. 

Thetopics range from general overview of the BPM market, to specific detailedpresentations on standards. The course is designed for both beginners and thosewho are already familiar with BPM and need to know more about the leading BPMstandards and their impact on software design and implementation.
