The General Administration Department of the Dubai Police is the center of all its paper work. Every document that enters the Dubai Police offices from the outside passes through the general administration department. Therefore, the archive and administrative departments faced the ever-challenging tasks of managing and filing the documents and correspondence in a systematic fashion. There are numerous other departments such as personnel, inspe ction, archive, legal, etc., that also deal with masses of paper-based documents. These documents are routed for decision-making purposes to various officers in the administration hierarchy. The solution designed and implemented to address the electronic imaging and workflow requirements of Dubai Police is based on eiStream WMS (formerly known as Eastman Software) imaging and workflow products.
